I've been down that road before trying to save a few bucks on my Forte and found out a few things the hard way. Turns out headlights from the 2020 model fit like a glove and the wheels are the same bolt pattern as some Hyundai Elantras so you can mix and match there.

But brakes and suspension pieces can be a roll of the dice depending on trim levels so I'd double check what others have done before pulling the trigger. If you're hunting for more specifics like engine or interior bits let us know what part you're eyeing because it pays to be careful where you reach.

I second what @Runic_Cipher said.
Things like some suspension components, interior trim pieces, or even certain engine accessories might cross over, but it's really on a case-by-case basis!
Your best bet is to always check part numbers directly or consult with a Kia dealership's parts department!

Hold up, suspension? Guys, the GT has multilink and the rest have beam and that's more or less what you get with the Elantra and the sport. They're interchangeable. Same goes for control arms and a butload of other mechanical components.

Most mechanical parts from 2019 to 2021 Fortes will interchange if the engine and trim are the same, just things like exterior trim, lights, and electronics may not fit cleanly

Fair point about the suspension differences but I was aiming my advice at someone new to this. There's a lot that can trip newcomers up. Brakes are not universal across all trims and other parts can also vary. That's why I suggested that @chronolock1987 to double check before grabbing anything. Better safe than dealing with mismatched components down the line.

@Notsoshyguy That's good to know on the suspension crossover. It makes hunting for used parts a whole lot easier if you stick with the right trims.
