Fixed my own DRL problem

I recently upgraded to high performance HIDs and bright LED DRLs but I couldnt display them together so I found a quick fix. I used a $10 fuse tap and connected it to the ignition coil fuse ran the wires to the original connectors and added 6 ohm resistors to stop the check DRL warning. Now, the lights stay on whenever the cars on and no switch needed. It's simple looks awesome and I'm happy with the result. If you got questions, go ahead and drop em. Hope this helps!

Boom! Love seeing people get creative and solve their own problems, especially when it looks awesome and works! That fuse tap/resistor combo is a smart way to get those DRLs on demand without extra switches. I'm curious, what's the specific wattage on those resistors you used?

How did you handle heat from the 6-ohm resistors? I've heard they can get pretty hot depending on placement, so I'm curious where you mounted them to avoid melting nearby wiring or trim.
 
Cool trick. Getting both systems going sans extra switches is neat and practical. Just watch the resistor heat, where you put them really matters for keeping things safe and working for a long time
