Is this normal for snap ring

I recently finished replacing the bearings and installed the snap ring afterward. I've noticed the snap ring isn't staying perfectly still, it shifts a little in the groove. I'm wondering if that's how it's supposed to be, or if it should be firmly seated with no movement at all. I made sure it was properly installed and seated in the groove, but now I'm second-guessing it. Has anyone else experienced this? I am just trying to make sure everything's right before I button things up completely

I also second-guessed this one when I did my bearings but a tiny bit of play in the snap ring should be okay as long as it's fully seated in the groove and wouldn't actually pop out.
But if you're really in doubt, it's good to double-check your work or consult a service manual specific to your Kia Forte.
I mean, check if it feels like it could jump out because old snap rings can lose their tension.
But again, if it's like a little wiggle, it's normal!

That's reassuring to hear. It's fully seated and just has that tiny wiggle you mentioned, nothing that feels loose enough to pop out, I'll still give the service manual a quick check
